BELFAST'S PADRAIG MCCRORY MOVES INTO THE WORLD TOP 3 🥊🇮🇪

Since the step up from super-middleweight the now Belfast light-heavyweight has been rapidly making his way up the rankings after dismantling Leon Bunn in Frankfurt back in October to capture the IBO Light-Heavyweight World Title.

Despite being IBO world champion Padraig fails to feature in the top 15 with the WBA & WBO but is now ranked #15 with the IBF and #9 with the WBC for the light-heavyweight division.

However at Padraig's more natural weight division of super-middleweight the WBA have Padraig ranked at an impressive #3 which could potentially open doors for a high ranking fight against any of the top 5 in the division which includes... Caleb Plant, Erik Bazinyan, Edgar Berlanga, Christian Mbilli or the unthinkable a blockbuster super-middleweight clash with Undisputed Champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Where does Padraig go next?

A step back down into the super-middlewight division or stay at 175lbs for a world title defence in Belfast in March or August with potential names being muted such as Callum Smith, Daniel Azeez, Joshua Buatsi or even Joe Smith Jr who is ranked with the top 5 across the top 4 boxing organisations.
